Thanks for writing. That IS a scam and many people have given those people access to their computers and been sorry they did. It’s to your credit that you did not let them have access. I have heard from others that they are VERY convincing and bossy.

It’s worth reading. One word of caution: Many commenters warn about calls from someone with a foreign accent. Alas, there are scammers from all over the world, including the US.
